Navy Week in NOLA!!

So the 2012 celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner is taking place here, now!!!! I went downtown to see what all the buzz was about, and to check out some of the GIANT pirate looking ships that I have been spotting in my travels to and from the Westbank...AMAZING!!!! I snapped some photos, but they really do these beautiful vessels no justice.

French Quarter Fest!!!

French Qarter Fest this weekend was so much fun!!! I had the chance to venture around the Quarter, eat good festival food, watched some incredible live performances, take some fun photos, and meet some pretty amazing people!

I ran into Charlé on Magazine St. before I made my way over to the fest, rockin' the perfect spring get up, she looks adorable as usual!

Today I met a really awesome jewelry designer who I just discovered last weekend through mutual friends, her name is Lauren Collignon...

As a Baton Rouge native, Lauren graduated in Art History from Louisiana State University in 1997. Design was always her passion and after moving to Houston, Texas she found the opportunity to make her dreams a reality by opening her jewelry design studio. Luckily we now have her back in Louisiana with plans on opening a studio here =) woooo hoo! Lauren’s appreciation for beauty, strength and diversity are evident in her pieces designed for those with the most distinctive tastes.
